Keep the water or stock hot during the infusion process by placing the saucepan in a bain-marie, although you must be careful not to make the water boil. The saffron may also be infused in milk if you’re using it in cream or to make a custard. The infusion takes on an intense yellow-orange colour and can be poured directly into the preparation to give it that extra touch of elegance and sophistication. Our Saffron (Threads) is ideal in risottos, pasta dishes, meat dishes and desserts even. The suggested dose is 5/7 pistils or stigmas per person, which can be increased for an even more intense flavour and aroma.
How to store our Saffron (Threads): store in the tightly closed jar, away from direct heat, in a cool, dry and dark place. Avoid using plastic containers.
